Welcome to The Clearing
Jeff and Sandy Vachon are the owners of The Clearing, an outdoor wedding venue nestled within a thirty acre woodlot on the Vachon's farm. It is conveniently located just south of the 401, on the southwest outskirts of London, Ontario.
Jeff and Sandy, and their sons Kyle and Mitchell, along with close family and friends were instrumental in the brainstorming and back breaking job of turning a wet, unproductive piece of land, into a unique, private and picturesque setting, ideal for any outdoor function, and unprecedented as an outdoor wedding venue!

The Vachon's call it Home! And do everything they can to make you feel that way as well. If only for a day!
The Venue
The Clearing is a breathtaking acre, naturally set within a 30 acre hardwood lot. Rather than being set with the task of bringing nature into your setting with potted plants and greenery, your ceremony and reception will be genuinely infused with trees and natural gardens, where wildlife and nature abound.
The Clearings' marriage to all that makes it stress free and convenient, has been a thoughtful, slow immersion. Our task was never to come up with something spectacular. Our task, from the beginning, was to make the space accessible and serene without undoing the grandness that originally drew us here.
Our custom washroom with wheelchair access is nestled amongst the woods. Our covered, open bar was an old oak milled on our property and constructed into a gathering place for guests. At the centre of it all, a stone dance floor, illuminated by a beautiful rustic chandelier provides a lovely setting for guests to enjoy themselves from first dance to last call.
The tent is a beautiful, sturdy, and elegant addition to any style of reception and has been strategically chosen and set into the area.
Along both the North and South ends of the property there are wood chip pathways sprinkled with string lighting, perfect for picture opportunities or a simple stroll for your guests.
Beyond The Clearing, large Willow trees overhanging a pond, an old grain silo, or acres of farm land offer an alternate yet natural backdrop for your memorable day.
Electricity, municipal water, secure storage, refrigeration and overnight parking are among the conveniences provided.
